My personal goal in life is to live objectively, to have no pre-judgment. When I began traveling I set the intention to lose my filters which my society and background had given me. This will be an ongoing goal of mine for the rest of my life. I explore other cultures because by listening to their stories and seeing their way of life I am forced to see them as fellow human beings and not as statistics. This website is how I can share this process with others, by sharing those stories with others, my thoughts and impressions, and anything which I feel is relevant!
Elissa:
Truth is the goodness within each cell. Since my first thoughts on the world outside of myself, my only confusion has been concerning the good and evil. Now that I know that there are no binary systems which encompass all that is, I understand that this world is created of individuals which can and should align together to be one and not two. With personalities aside, it is my aspiration to proclaim a message which holds itself to be true within each ear it resonates in. This truth will undoubtedly activate harmony and ultimately peace on earth.
Simply put, only through truth can we activate the wheels which will pull the cart that we call peace. The first step of seeking truth is transparency, absolute and complete in itself. It is my mission to lead a transparent life of honesty.
I truly believe that our thoughts create our reality. Because I know this to be true, it is essential that I understand every fiber of my thought process to ensure that what goes through my mind, comes out of my mouth, and manifests into action is as honest as I am able to be. This exercise in strength of character brings me closer to being my true self everyday.
I do not claim to be right or perfect. In fact, I look forward to my failures that I might learn how to improve myself more quickly so that I can continue on my path of joy, love and prosperity. Because of this willingness to learn and share what I learn, the dreams that I dream come true everyday. I am on a mission, and this mission is serious and silly, powerful and child-like, and as always, founded in love.
